Hallo!! I'm neu hier... Unfortunatelly I can only read Deutsch... Ich need some hilfe in Traffic, can I write here in English? (I'm Portuguese, by the way..., but live in Scotland) Your answers can be in Deutsch, I'm i not breaking the rules of the forum ?? Thanks to all und eitshuldingen

So here goes my doubt, Traffic is an awesome piece, i'm addicted to it, but the coockbook sometimes is very vague... for this scenary:

How can i manage to put two paths into it?? I've tried but nothing works (i want the scene to run unlimited, not flickering). Also there was once one example of scenary with a bahnschranke (flashing lights and all..) where did it go?? Probably these are stupid questions, but i'm stuck!! Viele Danke for any answer (why mi avatar doesn't appear??)

I hope you get support by a traffic-specialist for solving your problems. My favorite program for "pixelrailways" is BahnLand. Because of that i'm not able to help you.

Hello macmauro,

the only command you can generate multiple tracks before-behind each other is the $SCENE command.

There are several examples int the timetable file bgdrw.ttt for them. Here en example:

The $SECTION command does not belong strictly to the construction. It assures, that only a single scene will be visible on the screen.

The $SCENE command opens the construct.

The $PATH command defines the tracks. Each track functions individually, the trains inside the $PATH / $ENDPATH "parenthesys" will run on that single track. Therefore is it a good practice to use pools for defining the trains: so can you use the same train set on multiple tracks, in multiple scenes without copiing them multiple times into the timetable file. Here one of the pool definitions:

The action names STOP and GO controls the flashing lights (look at the attached macro line of the CROSSIG1L picture), the action names FEL and LE (sorry, they are hungarian words - defined by Zoltán Iván) control the barrier - check the pictures BG_ASL and BG_AS for their definition. Both the lights and the barrier switch to "don't go" during the TB period - the waiting period before the train enters the screen. The barrier opens after the last wagon leaves the barrier: there are 2 waypoints, one at 45% for trains running left, and the other on 55% for trains running to the right, acting, when the train end passes them ( <TE and >TE ). The flashing lights switch back to white only, when the train totally leaved the screen, their action is name is GO , it stays in the TE parameter - the waiting time after the train leaved the screen.

The cookbook is really old, does not cover many possibilities, Take a look into the help file - the commands are described there.

Hello to all.
Thanks for the willkomen and tipps, Klaus, Zoltan and bahnFrank45!
Actually my version was missing the prg.ttt file, now I have downloaded it.

I manage to create my fixed scenes if I compose the scene with drawings, the problem just arises when I try to use a full picture as background, allways get the error $endscene without $scene or “no movement commands”, but eventually I will get there (I hope...).

Nice to have a forum dedicated to “pixelrailways”, as Klaus put it, I have started by buying the MM, but find Traffic much more versatile, but I guess thats a personal matter. On a side note I have my fictional “Country” (Saint Maurice”...) with fictional railway companies, and enjoy very much to create liveries and paint the stock. I have lots of rolling stock in fictional liveries, which I would not mind to share with everybody, I just don't upload it because I repaint material from all the original authors and sometimes I forgot who is the creator of the original (Many thanks here for Zoltan Ivan for Traffic, to Zsivani and all the amazing authors, you have teached my how to paint pixel by pixel!)

Zoltán Szabó (nickname: Gödény) is the author of traffic.
Zoltán Iván (nickname: Zsivány) has drawn many pictures - he begun before Traffic existed, and for a long time he had the most pictures in my collection (now Marc Le Gad has taken this first place over).

You can use my picture collection, or traffic itself (browsing in the stock list windows) in order to find the original drawings of your repaint.There is a compare function (F12) - you can compare two pictures in zoomed format too. My expierience is, that with this zoomed compare one can decide, was a picture made from the other, or it is a brand new dawing (or based on another original).

We don't like if somebody uploads drawings, which was originally drawn by somobode other, and there are only a few changed pixels at all. And asking the original author for permission is the preferred method for even bigger changes too. But, in case of a new livery (which means the most of pixels have changed) i don't think you cannot upload them. Try to find the original by looking in the collections, and even if you don't find them, upload your vehicles with an additional text: you have modified something, which you cannot track back any more.

(The Hungarian is not an excuse, you should see some Portuguese names...lol).

So: thanks Zoltan Szabó for Traffic (and sorry for the confusion!), even people that are not into trains get mesmerized looking at my computer screen. About my stock I will keep it to myself,
don't want to take credit for somedy's else work.
