Diese 12 Dieselloks habe eine kurze, aber wechselvolle Geschichte hinter sich. Bestellt von den Norwegischen Staatsbahnen, waren sie dort keine zwei Jahre im Einsatz und gingen dann an den Hersteller Siemens zurück, der sie in seinem Dispolok-Pool nach gründlicher Überarbeitung erfolgreicher einsetzen konnte - u.a bei der CFL im schweren Güterzugdienst. Lange Jahre bestritten dann 8 dieser Loks den Fernverkehr Hamburg-Sylt, und schließlich landeten mehrere Maschinen bei CargoLink und damit wieder in Norwegen...
