The ALe724s were electro-locomotives of the Italian State Railways, which entered service in 1982 for local passenger service and on secondary routes.
They consisted of a tractor (ALe724), one or two carriages (Le884) and a semi-pilot carriage (Le724); in some cases, especially around the city of Naples, the composition was of 2 tractors and two carriages.
they received two liveries: the one of origin in light gray and purple and orange bands and then from the second half of the 90s the XMPR livery.
