The Aln 668 are light railcars with diesel engines built between 1956 and 1983; many units are still in service on secondary lines. Built in various series, most were made by FIAT while the 2400 series was made by Breda. At the Aln668 various types of towed elements were coupled such as Ln664 and LN882.
The name 668 derives from the number of places that in fact is 68 seats.
The Aln668 have covered many liveries including the original blue and beige with red threads and more recently the unified XMPR livery.
In the 90's the FS started an advertising collaboration with the coffee company KIMBO, some units received a color dedicated to sponsorship.
