Zoom:
Die ersten Triebwagen wurden Mitte 1956 an die Bundesbahn ausgeliefert.
Da es im Ruhrgebiet zu diesem Zeitpunkt noch keine elektrifizierten Strecken gab,
wurden 18 Triebzüge im Raum München und sechs im Raum Nürnberg eingesetzt.
Mit dem Beginn der Elektrifizierung der Eisenbahnstrecken an Rhein und Ruhr 1957
kamen die Münchner Triebzüge in ihr vorgesehenes Einsatzgebiet, die Nürnberger folgten erst 1972.
Ab 1972 waren alle Triebwagen beim Bw Hamm stationiert.
